Dr. Ronald Kelpe
Dr. Kelpe opened Rancho Santa Margarita Veterinary Hospital on December 5, 1988, becoming one of the very first businesses here in Rancho. In 1980 he graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Biochemistry. He continued his studies at Iowa State and received his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1984. His areas of special interests are Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmology and General Medicine. Dr Kelpe is a Nebraska native, he's married, has one daughter, owns one very happy Labrador, one cute Chihuahua and 5 friendly cats.
Dr. Kristin De La Paz
Dr. De La Paz grew up in Southern California. Attending UC Davis for her under graduate, Cal Poly Pomona for her Masters, and UC Davis for her Veterinary Medicine degree. After Veterinary school Dr De La Paz interned at a private specialty hospital. Then she joined our happy family at RSM. When not working she enjoys spending time with her 3 cats, 2 cockatiels, multiple turtles, and her wonder pup named Rory.
Dr. April Miles
Dr. Miles attended UC Davis for her undergraduate and Vetenary degrees. After graduation she spent a year in a private small animal practice near Chico, CA. She then decided to move to Southern California and join our team. Dr Miles enjoys playing with her 3 dogs Cole, Ginger and Tucker and learning how to surf.
Dr. Kara Kreitner
Dr. Kreitner graduated from Colorado State in 1996. She is a native Alaskan, but she grew up in Colorado. Dr. Kreitner served 4 years as an Army Veterinarian, stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado and also in Saudi Arabia. She is experienced in Equine and Small Livestock Medicine. In 2001, Dr. Kreitner worked with the USDA in England to help eradicate Foot and Mouth Disease. Her hobbies include mountain biking and weight lifting.
Dr. Robert Moore
Dr. Moore is a co-owner of the hospital and a Board Certified Specialist in surgery. He is a 1978 graduate of Auburn University and a native of Florida. Dr. Moore is available on an on-call basis for consultation and surgery at our hospital, as needed.
